Over the 3.25 school years I have been with Bolles, improving the Pratt Library's nonfiction collection has been one of my goals. I have purchased access to Online Databases to support your research needs, but I want our print collection to be filled with nonfiction books that interest you for PLEASURE READING. Many books have been purged and many more have been purchased to make the collection better.
So, here is the challenge. I challenge each of you to read a nonfiction book this year- and to send me a review of the book. For each review you submit, you will get a ring-pop- up to 5 reviews. (If you cannot eat ring-pops for health reasons, or just despise them, see me for an alternative incentive.)
The reviews must include the following:
Nonfiction books include everything on the Library Classroom (Quiet Room) shelves as well as any biographies (in the ReadBox). All reviews will be posted on the library website.
SO- go ahead and take a look at our nonfiction collection. It gets better everyday.
