Morality is a muddy thing. In Wildcard, the line between altruism and autocracy is dangerously thin. The Neurolink connects everyone. It has revolutionized society. Virtual Reality overlays normal life and communication is effortless. But, what if the cost of the Neurolink is Free Will? What if, unbeknownst to everyone, the lenses they wear to be a part of the web can do more than control their data?
Emika Chen is a master hacker, bounty hunter, and Warcross player. She deeply cares for Hideo Tanaka- but has just been hired by a renegade organization to help take down Hideo's Neurolink.
But- Emika only has pieces to this puzzle. She doesn't know who to trust. Does she listen to her heart or her moral code? She is falling and has no idea on which side of right she will land.
