Library Media Ambassadors
The Bolles Library Media Ambassadors believe that every student deserves equitable access to information and enrichment that inspires innovation and imagination. Our mission is to nurture the Bolles Pratt Library Media Program as well as the Library Media Programs of our neighboring public schools and the literacy of their students. At Bolles, we promote the Library as the hub of learning, inspiration and discovery. Through fundraising ventures and community outreach, we promote School Libraries and Literacy Initiatives throughout Jacksonville. The Library Media Ambassadors believe in the saying "All Things Possible @ Your Library."
Acceptance into the LMA is determined by Mrs. Sanborn. This is a Leadership Organization, not a Club. Interested students must turn in an Endorsement Letter which contains a paragraph explaining why he/she would make a good ambassador. This letter must be signed by 3 faculty members. Submissions are due 9/14/2017.
The LMA meets every other Thursday in the Library Classroom during Activities (10:25am to 10:55am) starting September 21st. LMA Members can do volunteer work in the Library any day during activities.
The Bolles Young Democrats Club is for students whose Socio-political ideology relates to that of the Democratic Party. We meet to discuss current events, and ways in which we can positively impact our community. Mrs. Sanborn is the Faculty sponsor of the Bolles Middle School Young Democrats Club. Mrs. Kim Glasgal, a community volunteer, and highly involved member of the local Democratic Party, often guest-leads the group.
Meetings are biweekly in the Library Classroom on Fridays during Activities (10: 25 am to 10:55am) starting September 15th.
For those students whose Socio-political ideology relates to that of the Republican Party, see Mrs. Gibbs about joining the Bolles Middle School Young Republicans Club. We currently do not offer clubs for any other political parties.
